Good progression systems is the key to long term retention in free to play games. We created a fun and compelling upgrade system that was intuitive.
Interaction prototypes really help tell the story of how and experience will work and feel. Working with Reliance Games we created a prototype that answered many usability questions very early in the design process.

The battle results screen is one of the most important screens in the core loop of a free to play game. The celebration of rewards, achievements and progression compel players to want spend the money they earned further advance in the game.
The store is key to monetization. Creating a compelling intuitive and store where players can purchase currency and items is a must in a free to play game.
Celebration around monetization is critical component of a top grossing title. Anytime there is a purchase, reward or achievement, celebrating those moments with fan fair encourages repeat player behavior.
